FORMAT() Function
FORMAT() function is used to format the display of a field.
SQL FORMAT() Syntax
SELECT FORMAT(column_name,format) FROM table_name;

| format | Required. Specifies the format. |
Demo Database
In this tutorial, we will use the EXAMPLE sample database.
Below is a selection from the "Websites" table:

SQL FORMAT() Example
The following SQL statement selects name, url, and the date formatted as YYYY-MM-DD from the "Websites" table:
