The Linux mmove command is used to move files or directories, or change names, in an MS-DOS file system.

mmove is an mtools utility command that simulates the MS-DOS move command. It can move existing files or directories in an MS-DOS file system, or change the names of existing files or directories.

Syntax

mmove [源文件或目录...][目标文件或目录]

Parameter description:

  • [Source file or directory...]: The path of the source file or directory on which the operation is performed.
  • [Target file or directory]: The path of the target file or directory after the operation is performed.

Examples

Use the mmove command to move the file "autorun.bat" into the directory "test". Enter the following command:

$ mmove autorun.bat test        #移动文件到目录test中

After the above command is executed, the mmove command will move the file "autorun.bat" to the specified directory "test".

Note: Users can use the mdir command to view the information of the moved file or directory.
