The Linux mdir command is used to display MS-DOS directories.

mdir is an mtools tool command that simulates the MS-DOS dir command and can display directory contents in the MS-DOS file system.

Syntax

mdir [-afwx/][目录]

Parameters：

  • -/ Displays all subdirectories and files under the directory.
  • -a Displays hidden files.
  • -f Does not display the remaining available space on the disk.
  • -w Displays only directory or file names in a horizontal layout, so that more directories or files can be displayed at once.
  • -X Displays only the full paths of all subdirectories and files under the directory, without displaying other information.

Examples

Display the contents of drive A

$ mdir -/ a:\*

After the above command is executed, mdir will display all subdirectories and file information in the specified drive "a:\", as shown below:

Volume in drive A has no label  #加载信息  
Volume Serial Number is 13D2~055C  
Directory for A:\                   #以下为目录信息  
./TEST <DIR> 2011-08-23 16:59     
#显示格式为文件名，目录大小，修改时间
