Linux mdel command

The Linux mdel command is used to delete files in MSDOS format.

A prompt message is generated before deleting read-only files.

Syntax

mdel [-v] msdosfile [ msdosfiles ... ]

Parameters:

  • -v Display more information.

Examples

Delete autoexec.bat in the root directory of the A: floppy disk.

mdel a:autoexec.bat .
