The Linux ytalk command is used to talk with other users.

Through the ytalk command, you can talk online with other users. If you want to talk to a user on another host, append the host name or IP address after the user name.

Syntax

ytalk [-isxY][-h<主机名称IP地址>][用户名称...]

Parameter Description:

  • -h<host name IP address> Specify the remote host where the conversation target is located.
  • -i Use alert sounds instead of displaying messages.
  • -s Open the ytalk chat window before the command prompt.
  • -x Disable the graphical interface.
  • -Y All questions that must be answered with yes or no must be answered with the uppercase English letters "Y" or "N".
