The Linux sliplogin command is used to attach the SLIP interface to standard input.

sliplogin can attach the SLIP interface to standard input, turning a regular terminal connection into a SLIP connection. It can usually be used to set up a SLIP server, allowing remote computers to connect to the server via SLIP. sliplogin will check the /etc/slip/slip.hosts file for the same username. After passing the check, sliplogin will invoke a shell script to set up the network interface environment such as IP address, subnet mask, etc. This shell script is usually /etc/slip/slip.login.
