The Linux rlogin command is used for remote login.

Executing the rlogin command starts a terminal session and logs in to the remote host.

Syntax

rlogin [-8EL][-e <脱离字符>][-l <用户名称>][主机名称或IP地址]

Required parameters:

  • -E Ignore escape characters
  • -8 Only recognize 8-bit characters
  • -L Allow the rlogin session to run in litout mode
  • -ec Set the escape character to c
  • -c Require confirmation before disconnecting
  • -a Force the remote host to request a password after sending an empty local username
  • -f Send local authentication to the remote host
  • -F Send a forwardable local authentication to the remote host
  • -7 Force 7-bit transmission
  • -d Enable debugging of the TCP socket used for communication with the remote host
  • -k Require inclusion of the remote host's tickets
  • -x Enable DES encryption for data transmission
  • -4 Only use Kerberos version 4 authentication

Optional parameters:

  • -e<character> Set the escape character
  • -l<user> Specify the user to log in as
  • -t<terminal type> Set the terminal type
  • Examples

    Show whether the rlogin service is enabled

    # chkconfig --list //检测rlogin服务是否开启
    

    Start the rlogin service

    # chkconfig rlogin on //开启rlogin服务
    

    Log in to the remote host

    # rlogin 192.168.1.88

    Log in to the remote host with a specified username

    # rlogin 192.168.1.88 -l hnlinux
