Linux quotaon Command
The Linux quotaon command is used to enable disk space limits.
Executing the quotaon command enables disk space limits for users and groups. The file system root directory of each partition must have quota.user and quota.group configuration files.
Syntax
quotaon [-aguv][文件系统...]
Parameter Description:
- -a Enable space limits for partitions that have quota settings added in the /etc/fstab file.
- -g Enable disk space limits for groups.
- -u Enable disk space limits for users.
- -v Display the execution process of the command.
For the entire file system:
quotaon -auvg
quotaon -auvgThis command only needs to be run when starting the Quota service for the first time. On subsequent startups, the /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit initialization script will automatically execute this command.
For a single partition only:
quotaon -uvg /mnt/sdb
Enable or disable disk quota functionality on the file system:
quotaon /home # 启用 quotaoff /home # 禁用Other Extensions
