Linux joe command
The Linux joe command is used to edit text files.
Joe is a powerful full-screen text editing program. Its operation complexity is slightly higher than Pico, but it has relatively complete features. Joe can open multiple files at once, with each file placed in a separate editing area, and can perform cut-and-paste actions between files.
Syntax
joe [-asis][-beep][-csmode][-dopadding][-exask][-force][-help][-keepup][-lightoff][-arking][-mid][-nobackups][-nonotice][-nosta][-noxon][-orphan][-backpath<目录>][-columns<栏位>][-lines<行数>][-pg<行数>][-skiptop<行数>][-autoindent crlf linums overwrite rdonly wordwrap][+<行数>][-indentc<缩排字符>][-istep<缩排字符数>][-keymap<按键配置文件>][-lmargin<栏数>][-rmargin<栏数>][-tab<栏数>][要编辑的文件]</p>
Parameters:
- -columns<columns> Set the number of columns.
- -csmode Enable continuous search mode.
- -dopadding Make the program have a buffer between itself and the tty.
- -exask When executing "Ctrl+k+x" in the program, it will first confirm whether to save the file.
- -force Force a newline character to be added at the end of the last line.
- -help Display help when executing the program.
- -keepup After entering the program, the top of the screen shows the status line.
- -lightoff After executing a block command, the selected block returns to its original state.

- -nonotice Do not display copyright information when the program is executed.
- -nosta Do not display the status line when the program is executed.
- -noxon Try to cancel the functions of the "Ctrl+s" and "Ctrl+q" keys.

- -pg<lines> The number of lines from the previous page to keep when paging with "PageUp" or "PageDown".
- -skiptop<lines> Do not use the specified number of lines at the top of the screen.
- The following are the file parameters:
- +<lines> Specify the line number where the cursor is located when opening the file.
- -autoindent Automatically indent.
- -crlf Use CR-LF characters when wrapping lines.
- -indentc<indent character> The character actually inserted when performing indentation.
- -istep<indent character count> The number of indent characters moved each time indentation is performed.
- -keymap<keymap configuration file> Use a different keymap configuration file.
- -linums Add line numbers before each line.
- -lmargin<columns> Set the left margin.

Examples
Use the joe command to edit text files. For example, to use joe to edit the C language source code main.c, use the following command:
joe main.c
Similar to jed, the C language syntax in the joe editor is also displayed in color. The effect is as follows:
I A main.c (c) Row 1 Col 1 12:28 Ctrl-K H for help
#上排从左至右分别为打开的文件名、光标所在行列数、现在时间、显示操作说明
/*-*- linux-c-*-*/ #编辑区
#include <linux/mm.h>
#include <linux/sysctl.h>
#include <linux/nsproxy.h>
static struct list_head *
net_ctl_header_lookup(struct ctl_table_root *root, struct nsproxy *namespaces)
{
return &namespaces->net_ns->sysctl_table_headers;
}
static struct ctl_table_root net_sysctl_root = {
.lookup = net_ctl_header_lookup,
};
static int sysctl_net_init(struct net *net)
{
INIT_LIST_HEAD(&net->sysctl_table_headers);
return 0;
}
