Linux chkconfig Command
The Linux chkconfig command is used to check and set various system services.
It is a program developed by Red Hat following GPL rules. It can query which system services the operating system will execute at each runlevel, including various resident services.
Syntax
chkconfig [--add][--del][--list][系统服务] 或 chkconfig [--level <等级代号>][系统服务][on/off/reset]
Parameters:
- --add Add the specified system service, allowing the chkconfig command to manage it, and also add relevant data to the system startup configuration files.
- --del Delete the specified system service so it is no longer managed by the chkconfig command, and also remove relevant data from the system startup configuration files.
- --level<runlevel> Specify at which runlevel the system service should be enabled or disabled.
Examples
List all commands that chkconfig knows.
# chkconfig --list
Enable the service.
# chkconfig telnet on //开启 Telnet 服务 # chkconfig --list //列出 chkconfig 所知道的所有的服务的情况
Disable the service.
# chkconfig telnet off // 关闭 Telnet 服务 # chkconfig --list // 列出 chkconfig 所知道的所有的服务的情况Other Extensions
