The Linux bunzip2 command is a decompression program for .bz2 files.

bunzip2 can decompress compressed files in .bz2 format. bunzip2 is actually a symbolic link to bzip2; running bunzip2 has the same effect as bzip2 -d.

Syntax：bunzip2 [-fkLsvV][.bz2 compressed file]

Parameters：

  • -f or --force : When decompressing, if the output file has the same name as an existing file, the existing file will not be overwritten by default. To overwrite it, use this parameter.
  • -k or --keep : After decompression, the original compressed file is deleted by default. To keep the compressed file, use this parameter.
  • -s or --small : Reduces memory usage during program execution.
  • -v or --verbose : Displays detailed information when decompressing files.
  • -L, --license, -V or --version : Displays version information.

# bunzip2 -v temp.bz2 //解压文件显示详细处理信息
