Linux apachectl Command
The Linux apachectl command is used to control the Apache HTTP server program.
apachectl is a script file included with the Apache HTTP server in Slackware, which allows administrators to control the server. However, Apache HTTP servers on other Linux distributions may not have this file.
Syntax
apachectl [configtest][fullstatus][graceful][help][restart][start][status][stop]
Parameters:
- configtest Check whether the syntax in the configuration file is correct.
- fullstatus Display complete status information of the server.
- graceful Restart the Apache server without interrupting existing connections.
- help Display help information.
- restart Restart the Apache server.
- start Start the Apache server.
- status Display summary status information of the server.
- stop Stop the Apache server.
