Definition and Usage
The style attribute specifies an inline style for an element.
The style attribute will override any global style settings, such as styles specified in a <style> tag or in an external style sheet.
Differences Between HTML 4.01 and HTML5
In HTML5, the style attribute can be used on any HTML element (it will validate on any HTML element. But it may not necessarily be useful).
In HTML 4.01, the style attribute cannot be used on: <base>, <head>, <html>, <meta>, <param>, <script>, <style>, and <title>.
