Browser Support
Currently none of the mainstream browsers support the nohref attribute.
Definition and Usage
In HTML5, the <area> tag no longer supports the nohref attribute.
The nohref attribute is a boolean attribute.
This attribute specifies that an area has no associated link.
Tip:The nohref attribute indicates that the <area> tag has no associated link. A simpler way is to not use the href attribute.
Differences between HTML and XHTML
In XHTML, attribute minimization is forbidden, and the nohref attribute must be defined as <area nohref="nohref.html" />.
