Python time altzone() Method

Description

Python time altzone() function returns the offset in seconds for the daylight saving time (DST) region west of Greenwich. If the region is east of Greenwich, a negative value is returned (such as Western Europe, including the UK). It can only be used in regions where daylight saving time is enabled.

Syntax

altzone() method syntax:

time.altzone

Parameters

Return Value

Returns the offset in seconds for the DST region west of Greenwich. If the region is east of Greenwich, a negative value is returned (such as Western Europe, including the UK).

Example

The following example demonstrates how to use the altzone() function:
