Definition and Usage
The defaultStatus property can set or return the default text in the window's status bar. This property is readable and writable.
This text will be displayed when the page loads.

Note:The defaultStatus property does not work correctly in IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari with default configuration. To allow scripts to change the status bar text, users must set the configuration screen preference dom.disable_window_status_change to false. (Or in Firefox: "Tools - Options - Content - Enable JavaScript / 'Advanced' - Allow scripts to change status bar text".)
