Example

Draw a path shaped like the letter L, then draw a line to return to the starting point:

Internet Explorer 9, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and Safari support the closePath() method.

Note:Internet Explorer 8 and earlier versions do not support the <canvas> element.


Definition and Usage

The closePath() method creates a path from the current point to the starting point.

Tip:Please usestroke()method to draw the exact path on the canvas.

Tip:Please usefill()method to fill the image (default is black). Please usefillStyleproperty to fill with another color/gradient.
