I estimate that most programmers reading this article are coding in cubicles in open-plan halls. This kind of working environment saves the most space, but it may not be the most efficient in terms of energy and focus. Programmers don't like open-plan offices because they are noisy and prone to various interruptions, and programmers are the profession most afraid of being disturbed. But not every programmer is qualified to enjoy a private office; even if they sit in the noisy cubicles of an open hall, they still need to complete their work on time. Although we can't eat pork, we can at least watch pigs run. This article collects the desks of some well-known foreign programmers, just for everyone to look at.
