The project was finally delivered. In the morning, we went to KTV and had a blast. The last song, "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies," made us all feel that we are not just programmers—there have always been dreams in our hearts.

Our team has seven people in total. The shortest time we've worked together is three years. When we talked about it today, I felt inexplicably moved. Just one minute before we walked out of the KTV, our boss stopped us and said, "Come on, shout it once more: Go!"

Our team leader, Brother Gang, is a basketball fan. He used his weekends to turn several guys in the team into basketball enthusiasts. I have to admire Brother Gang's charisma. Including me, there are three women, and we like watching Slam Dunk. So whenever we are under a lot of pressure, our team uses basketball to cheer everyone up. During lunch, we chatted about the team's cooperation over the past few months. A female colleague said, "Since everyone loves basketball so much, why don't we imitate the characters in Slam Dunk?"

That one sentence immediately ignited everyone's enthusiasm, and we began assigning roles:

1. Team Pillar: Manager Song

Manager Song is the overall head of our R&D department. He took office less than two years ago. It can be said that his arrival has brought a completely new atmosphere to our company.

In winter or on rainy days, Manager Song never lets us women be on duty; instead, he or Brother Gang handles it. Although we have shamelessly accepted this for over a year, we have never forgotten it in our hearts. Even though there is no overtime pay for weekend work, we sometimes still apply to work overtime. It must be because we have gotten used to everyone understanding and tolerating each other.

What we admire most is Manager Song's ability to withstand pressure.

In the past, whenever a client said "make a demo and let us see," we felt it was going to be another round of heavy overtime. But since Manager Song arrived, he actually finds ready-made online demos and lets the client check them out first, then says we can do even better. Although Manager Song doesn't know much about technology, his ability to handle the relationship between R&D and clients just right truly puts us to shame. Basically, there are very few requirement changes during the R&D process. Some even thought about leaving but couldn't adapt to other companies.

2. Team Soul: Brother Gang

Brother Gang was originally a pure tech geek with a very strong sense of responsibility. It was under Manager Song's mentorship that Brother Gang gradually showed his management skills.

When Brother Gang manages a project, as long as it is a project-design matter, he calls the project personnel together for meetings, avoiding hidden dangers caused by information asymmetry. Following Brother Gang on a project, you just need to follow steadily. Brother Gang will considerately make your monthly plan for you, even though it's common not to finish it, haha!

In any case, if you run into any problem in the project, just go to Brother Gang.

3. Technical Breakthrough: Xiao Qiang

If there's a "Xiao Qiang" around you who loves playing basketball, then share this article. Who knows, maybe after reading it, he'll fall in love with programming? Haha!

Xiao Qiang is the youngest and most energetic among us. It's fair to say he loves researching open-source projects. If he sets his sights on something, he has to take it apart and put it back together—that's how he has fun. We don't know how many skills he has, nor how much energy he has. Every two or three days, he invents a new little gadget to show off. Considering how we usually organize documents, filter requirements, and discuss issues, he found a ready-made template online, modified it, and it became our company's communication and discussion platform. He posts whenever he has the chance, always trying to find a bug.

4. Workaholic: A Bin

Bin is the one in our team who works the hardest. Arriving early and leaving late is normal. Even after going home, if he has nothing else to do, he writes code in the middle of the night. When summer is hot, the company is home on Saturdays and Sundays.

Normally, after working for a while, we all get up and move around. Some go out for a smoke, some get water and chat, but Bin stays in one posture all day.

According to colleagues, when he first arrived, people didn't even notice he was there. The leader initially worried he might be withdrawn and have difficulties. But later they discovered that tasks assigned to him basically had no major issues. He would work late into the night to get things done. From then on, he became the most unnoticed celebrity in our company.

5. Requirements Controller: Xiao Tang

In terms of requirements, besides Manager Song, it's Brother Tang.

Later on, after receiving requirements, without Brother Tang's approval, no one would even start development. Especially when determining workload, even our gorilla Brother Gang had to ask Brother Tang to evaluate.

However, although it took over three years to build such a team, my other two female friends and I merely do testing and find bugs. We still lack another genius. I wonder which brother will be the next to join the company and take that position.
