In 2015, the pace of IT job growth may slow down, but the momentum remains strong. According toComputerworld's 2015 ForecastA survey on IT skills hiring was conducted among IT companies, and 24% of respondents said their companies would increase IT staffing.

Below are the top 10 IT skills most needed by the 194 companies that participated in the survey.

• 48% of respondents said they plan to hire people with this skill within the next 12 months.

• 35% of respondents said they plan to hire people with this skill within the next 12 months.

3. Help Desk/Technical Support

• 30% of respondents said they plan to hire people with this skill within the next 12 months.

4. Security/Optimization Management

• 28% of respondents said they plan to hire people with this skill within the next 12 months.
• Last year's ranking: No.7

5. Web Development

• 28% of respondents said they plan to hire people with this skill within the next 12 months.
• Last year's ranking: None

6. Database Management

• 26% of respondents said they plan to hire people with this skill within the next 12 months.
• Last year's ranking: No.6

7. Business Intelligence and Analysis

• 24% of respondents said they plan to hire people with this skill within the next 12 months.
