Definition and Usage

The getMapTypeId() method returns the current map type.

Syntax

mapvariable.getMapTypeId();

Return Value

Value Description
HYBRID A photographic map with roads and city names.
ROADMAP A standard map that defaults to 2D.
SATELLITE A photographic map.
TERRAIN A map with mountains, rivers, etc.
