Declaration

Below is the declaration of the strcoll() function.

int strcoll(const char *str1, const char *str2)

Parameter

  • str1-- The first string to be compared.
  • str2-- The second string to be compared.

Return Value

This function returns the following values:

  • If the return value is < 0, it indicates that str1 is less than str2.
  • If the return value is > 0, it indicates that str2 is less than str1.
  • If the return value is = 0, it indicates that str1 is equal to str2.
