Declaration

The following is the declaration of the putc() function.

int putc(int char, FILE *stream)

Parameter

• char-- This is the character to be written. The character is passed as its corresponding int value.
• stream-- This is a pointer to a FILE object that identifies the stream to which the character is to be written.

Return Value

This function returns the written character as an unsigned char cast to an int, or returns EOF if an error occurs.

Example

The following example demonstrates the usage of the putc() function.
